The role of higher education institutions in regional development
 
Karlstad University, Sweden
Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 October, 2005
 
An international seminar organized by the OECD Programme on Institutional Management in Higher Education (IMHE), the Nordic University Association (NUS) and the Nordic Association of Univeristy Administrators (NUAS)
 
The seminar is intended for senior institutional managers, policy makers and regional politicians and officers who want to learn how universities and other institutions can better meet the needs of the regions in which they are located. The seminar will include case-studies from several OECD countries as well as research evidence.

The cost of the seminar will be 325 EUR. A reduced rate of 225 EUR will be payable by representatives of institutions which are members of IMHE, NUAS or NUS.

All participants should plan to arrive in Karlstad on the evening of Monday 3 October.
